"Daily Star" reported on January 1, Bangladesh garment industry insiders said that in 2017 the apparel industry will continue to maintain 10% growth rate and the world's second largest garment exporter status. At the same time Bangladesh garment industry is still facing a shortage of skilled workers, frequent labor disputes, production efficiency and low management level, infrastructure, natural gas and electricity supply shortage and many other challenges. To this end, efforts should be made to diversify markets, exploit new markets, maintain political stability, strengthen labor rights, corporate governance and environmental protection so as to continue to enjoy preferential tariffs on the EU market.

Mohammadi Group, Bangladesh's leading garment exporter, said it would expand its business in 2017, increase R & D investment, complete the company's renovation and produce more value-added products to improve production efficiency, improve its image and enhance its competitiveness.
